AMCS Corporation APC Consultant Engineer on the Anwil refinery ASU Project $50M Cryogenic Terminal Plant Project Design Plans for Process Facilities, Support and Safety Systems.

DCS and SIS YOKOGAWA DCS was used on this project Designed and installed Advanced Regulatory Control (ARC) or DCS complex loops controls and all MVC Loops on those process units as well.

The process system description. Process and Re-Gasification Facilities.
Marine support systems as required by the ABS Rules applicable to the type of terminal.
Project specification and overall process concept evaluation.
Application software platform for all process units.
Process flow sheets.

Heat and mass balance.

Equipment layout drawings.
Area classification and ventilation drawings.

Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).
Safety Analysis Function Evaluation (SAFE) charts. Shut down and emergency shut down system (to include a hazard analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify critical components).

The following units of the Plant was optimized; Column Air, Expander Air, Air Compressor and Reflux Flow and the utilities area using MPC and NL RTO technology saving the plants over $10M per year.

Detailed design knowledge in process control, cause and effect matrix, SIS systems, P&ID development, instrument index, instrument calculations, and installation detail size control and relief valves and Temperature(YOKOGAWA), Pressure(EMERSON) and Flow(ROSEMOUNT) calculations for Transmitter installation up to nine degrees of freedom.

Project deliverables included electrical and controls estimates, electrical equipment specifications, power distribution and grounding design, process control system specifications, lighting design, equipment and materials purchase requisitions, electrical and controls drawings, construction bid packages, and on-site qualification of electrical and controls contractors.

Pressure relief and depressurization systems.
Flare and vent systems.
Process piping systems.

Process equipment documentation including calculations showing suitability of all pressurized components in the system to withstand the maximum design pressure that a specific component is likely to encounter in service.

The monitoring and control system for the entire system pressure regulation and gas dispersion system (to include calculations for sizing of the venting system and the relief valve) radiant heat analysis to demonstrate that the radiant heat intensity at any deck level or location where normal maintenance or operating activity could take place is not exceeding API RP 521 recommendations Part of the Sales Force and SAP Application convergence programming team.

  • Experience with SAP PEO and configuration considerations include the following
  • Basic Configurations and Activities Experience with SAP CAMS/Shop Floor Automation
  • Shop floor routing Management – create Operations, operation activities and link with Components, PRT, Work instructions etc. Configure Major Assembly production Data archiving
  • Create and Maintain HR qualifications
  • Custom Development knowledge for PEO.
  • Knowledge of integration points of SAP MES to other SAP components like PP, MM, FI, CO, QM etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP Production Planning, Production master data, MRP process and Shop floor order creation and tracking and high level understanding of PP, QM, MM/IM, PS
  • Experienced architecting typical MES systems using appropriate Standards, ISA95 and B2MML Conducted Business Process workshops and analysis
  • Experience with SAP Implementation Methodologies.
